Al-Bukhari reports from Ibn ā€˜Abbas that a woman from Juhayna came to the Prophet (ļ·ŗ) and said:

"My mother had intended to fulfill her pilgrimage to Mecca, but she died before she could do it. Can I do it for her? – 'Yes, do it for her,' replied the Prophet. 'If your mother had left a debt, would you not have repaid it for her? Fulfill your debts, for debts owed to God are even more deserving of being honored.'"
